Prototyping Engineer
Your tasks
- As a Prototyping Engineer, you are responsible for technical and conceptual innovations. In the field of energy innovation, you are the driving force behind the development of pioneering energy solutions.
- You will manage service providers and partners to ensure that projects are implemented efficiently and effectively.
- You will be responsible for the development and implementation of pilot projects, including the creation of Minimum Viable Proof of Concepts (MVPoC) to test the feasibility of new concepts.
- Your ability to present and pitch results and concepts convincingly will secure support and funding from internal and external stakeholders.
- In your role, you will conduct trials with real customers from a “friendly user pool” to gather valuable feedback and continuously optimize the solutions.
- You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to turn innovative ideas into marketable products.
- Develop and deliver Minimum Viable Proof of Concepts (MVPoC) for innovative energy solutions that support the transition to sustainable technologies

Your qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering, computer science, energy technology or a comparable technical field, ideally with a focus on renewable energies or digital transformation. Alternatively, you have a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
- You have several years of experience in product development or innovation management, preferably in the energy sector, which has brought you proven success in the development and implementation of innovative technical concepts.
- You have experience in managing projects that integrate new technologies and digital solutions.
- In addition, you have already developed prototypes and are able to independently turn technical concepts into working prototypes.
- You also have experience with modern development environments and tools.
- Your personality is characterized by a great willingness to experiment and the ability to think outside the box in order to develop innovative solutions.
- You contribute creative ideas and can translate them into concrete technical solutions that drive the innovation process forward.
- You take a pragmatic approach to projects and use iterative methods to achieve continuous improvements. For example, you use the 80/20 principle to deliver valuable results quickly.
