Regulatory Network Access Officer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- As a Regulatory Grid Access Officer (m/f/d), you will help shape the framework conditions of our core business – the transportation of hydrogen and natural gas – at international and national level. In our collaborative teams, you can contribute your skills effectively, develop your specialist knowledge and help us shape the future of sustainable energy supply.
- You will be responsible for developing the legal and regulatory framework for the hydrogen ramp-up and further development in the natural gas sector. To this end, you will contribute the positions initially to be coordinated within the GUD organization to the European associations ENTSOG and ENNOH as well as at national level in FNB Gas and BDEW. In addition to the associations, the Federal Network Agency is an important point of contact.
- Monitoring legislative initiatives and regulatory frameworks in the hydrogen and natural gas sector and promptly informing the GUD organization in order to best represent GUD interests.
- Developing concepts and proposals for positioning on current legal/regulatory processes and coordinating the GUD position with all relevant specialist functions.
- Contributing GUD positions to the determination procedures of the Federal Network Agency or legislative initiatives at European and national level.
- Advising the GUD organization on regulatory grid access issues.
- Internal coordination and response to requests for information and data from regulatory and other authorities.
- Holistic management of all regulatory, grid access-related processes.
- Processing statements as part of legislative and regulatory initiatives and communicating with the relevant authorities, in particular the Federal Network Agency.
- Active participation in associations relevant to hydrogen and natural gas transportation at national and international level. Representing GUD positions and contributing GUD expertise to the relevant committees.
- Development of implementation concepts for regulatory specifications in the circle of transmission system operators and hydrogen transport network operators and initiation of internal GUD implementation.

- A college or university degree (technical/commercial/legal)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the energy/gas industry
- Basic understanding of the core processes in natural gas and hydrogen transportation
- A good overview of the relevant laws and regulations relating to the regulatory framework for hydrogen and natural gas

- Strong conceptual and strategic thinking
- Very good communication skills, confident demeanor, high resilience
- Skilled in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team and assertiveness
- Very good command of written and spoken English
