The Renewable BW division helps drive the expansion of renewable energy in the state. As part of the National Climate Protection Initiative, the Federal Ministry for the Environment is funding the collaborative project “BEEKOMM — Accelerating the Expansion of Renewable Energy in Municipalities” with the goal of supporting municipalities in advancing the expansion of renewable energy—with a focus on wind energy and ground-mounted photovoltaics—from a technical, organizational, and communications perspective. KEA-BW leads and coordinates this nationwide collaborative project.

Your responsibilities include:

Proactively engaging with and supporting local governments on issues related to the expansion of renewable energy.
Conducting initial consultations and needs assessments, as well as developing tailored support services for municipalities.
Supporting cities, towns, and counties in dialogue and public participation processes related to wind energy and ground-mounted solar projects.
Participating in the design, organization, and implementation of information, dialogue, and public engagement events.
Analyzing local conditions, stakeholder groups, and land potential for the expansion of renewable energy.
Providing technical information, support services, and training content to local stakeholders.
Collaborating with municipalities, technical experts, and the experts at KEA-BW.
Documenting project activities and contributing to monitoring and reporting.

Here's what we'd like:

A relevant academic degree or comparable qualification.
Expertise in the fields of renewable energy, the energy transition, and municipal climate protection.
Knowledge of municipal structures and decision-making processes.
Ideally, experience in facilitating and moderating dialogue processes.
A deep understanding of the challenges faced by municipalities.
A structured, methodical, and efficient approach to work, combined with an openness to pragmatic solutions; strategic and analytical thinking.
Confident, persuasive demeanor and the ability to speak freely.
Excellent written and spoken German.
Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.
A clear commitment to and motivation for climate protection and sustainable development.
Willingness to travel within Baden-Württemberg and between the two KEA-BW locations in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart.
