The "Competence Center for Combined Heat and Power" (KoKWK), with its interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, bundles the research activities of OTH Amberg-Weiden in the field of sector coupling as one of the key technologies for the energy transition. As part of a consortium of leading industrial companies, research institutes and universities, the competence center team is also researching next-generation gas-engine hydrogen CHP systems. OTH Amberg-Weiden is a young university in the middle of Europe that offers its students a future-oriented education in 54 degree programs. Over 4,100 students are taught by 114 professors in the two university towns of Amberg and Weiden.
Your tasks
Establish contact with industrial partners in the field of heat pumps and investigate project opportunities Determine testing possibilities in the given infrastructure and upgrade and expand test benches Gather an overview of existing simulation tools for heat pumps and their system integration, apply suitable methods and develop models Supervise and work on current research projects and scientific work in the field of heat pumps in cooperation with industrial partners Writing scientific publications and participating in national and international conferences
Your qualifications
Relevant university degree in mechanical engineering, energy technology, process engineering or a related subject area In-depth knowledge of heat pumps and energy technology Good knowledge of German and English Independent scientific working style
