Your tasks

As a resource manager, you will actively shape EDG's transformation process towards an "energy and resource turnaround". In addition to setting up and implementing a modern energy management system, you will also advise the specialist departments on energy-related measures. You will coordinate and implement the necessary information, analysis, planning and control instruments in business practice in an interdisciplinary manner. The role includes the following key areas in particular, which must be carried out independently and on your own initiative: Development, further development and optimization of a digital energy management system for the areas: Real estate (e.g.: through submetering), vehicle fleets and other technology (except waste incineration plants) Deriving and initiating measures to reduce or optimize energy consumption (energy efficiency measures) and CO 2 reduction measures, taking economic efficiency into account Helping to shape a future-proof design and further development of the energy supply system Organizing, moderating and planning energy-related measures and energy efficiency projects Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations and supporting compliance with standard requirements, in particular DIN EN ISO 14001 Coordinating the procurement and tendering of energy purchases Measuring the energy consumption of buildings, machines and systems and analyzing the data obtained Expansion of energy measurements, targeted use of (temporary) measuring devices, detection of energy wastage Development of meaningful key figures and indicators and implementation of modern measurement systems Reports on energy consumption development and optimization, communication and coordination of these results with the climate protection and sustainability manager Tracking current developments in the field of energy technology, measurement methods and energy efficiency, contributing innovative solutions.


Your qualifications

You have a degree in engineering or a comparable university degree in the fields of energy and environmental technology, supply engineering, building services engineering, environmental management and/or sustainability management You have experience in dealing with specific energy-related key figures and key figure developments as well as the relevant legal framework conditions You have specialist knowledge of climate protection strategies, environmental management and sustainability principles Your analytical skills allow you to assess complex issues You have a confident manner and strong communication skills You are a team player, reliable and enthusiastic about resource management issues You are creative and innovative to develop new ideas and continuously improve existing concepts You have a good command of English.
