Shift leader / team leader / power plant foreman in alternating shifts (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Operational management: You are responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the power plant facilities and the district heating network. You will pay attention to operational documentation, instructions and safety regulations and will be responsible for the start-up and shut-down of main, auxiliary and ancillary systems.
- Technical management: You will manage and coordinate a shift team of 8 people. You will instruct, train and develop your employees and carry out regular appraisals.
- Ensuring production: You will ensure that electricity and district heating production runs exactly according to the defined specifications and that the production processes run efficiently.
- Error analysis and troubleshooting: In the event of faults, you analyze the faults and rectify them, if necessary together with the on-call service. You identify optimization potential and implement it. You document all relevant operating events and faults in the operations management system.
- Maintenance and repair measures: You request necessary measures via the operations management system, monitor and control the work of external companies outside of daytime working hours and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for activations and for fire and traffic permits.
Your qualifications
- Degree: You have successfully completed vocational training and a master craftsman’s certificate with additional qualification as a power plant operator (m/f/d) or comparable training as a power plant foreman (m/f/d) or technician.
- Professional experience: You have several years of professional experience, ideally with an energy supply company (EVU) in the field of power plants/cogeneration plants.
- Competence profile: You have a good sense of social competence, leadership skills and assertiveness and show personal commitment.
- IT skills: You are adept at using standard Microsoft software (Excel, Word), have already gained experience in working with process control systems and are familiar with operational management systems.
