Specialist in Operational Management / Engineering
Your tasks
- As a specialist for operational management, you will be responsible for analysing technical and operational processes with the aim of identifying and systematically preparing potential for optimization through digitalization.
- Based on the analyses, you will develop, plan and implement concepts for process improvement using modern technologies. You will do this in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments.
- Coordinating and managing cross-departmental and interdisciplinary teams and projects is part of your job. You will also be responsible for successfully managing and collaborating on projects and working on complex special tasks. You will also be responsible for developing concepts in a divisional and Group-wide context.
- You will be responsible for setting up, developing and operationally implementing an effective controlling system for projects, strategic measures and the permanent tracking of operational and strategic goals. In doing so, you will take technical and business aspects into account.
- Another part of your job is to support the development, enhancement and operationalization of the divisional and corporate strategy as well as strategic sub-strategies. Conducting environment, market and competition analyses to identify strategic fields of action and derive trends for strategic goals and measures is no challenge for you. You will do this in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments and management.
- Another part of your remit is the independent planning, organization and moderation of regular coordination and management meetings on projects, measure controlling and strategic developments. In doing so, you will pay particular attention to preparing the content of the meetings in close coordination with relevant stakeholders, including creating the agenda and preparing the basis for decision-making.
- Planning workshops to develop, prioritize and follow up on strategic projects and measures as well as documenting and following up on results, decisions and to-dos and further developing formats to increase efficiency and promote solution-oriented collaboration round off your job profile.
- The District Heating & Water Specialist is responsible for the design, introduction and continuous development of technical, operational and business processes, with a particular focus on engineering and operational management. The aim of the position is to sustainably increase efficiency and quality by identifying potential and integrating modern, scalable and data-driven processes and technologies. The role acts as a central interface between the central management area and the operational units and actively shapes the transformation in the District Heating & Water division towards a sustainable, integrated process landscape. Other tasks include the coordination and management of cross-divisional and interdisciplinary teams and projects, the successful management and cooperation in projects, the processing of complex special tasks as well as the independent development of concepts in a group-wide context to implement the strategy of enercity AG.

Your qualifications
- You have a Master’s degree in economics, engineering or a comparable qualification.
- You already have experience in the introduction of operational support and continuous development of work processes. You also have a good understanding of technical and operational processes, ideally complemented by industry knowledge in the energy or water sector.
- You also have experience in the use of AI technologies to optimize operational processes.
- You have experience in project management, business unit transformation and commercial controlling.
- Your personality is characterized by a high level of motivation, initiative, strong communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders, analytical thinking and a structured and solution-oriented way of working.
