The waste-to-energy plant (MHKW) of Technische Betriebe Solingen was put into operation in 1969. The power plant generates 70 million KWh of electricity and 45 million KWh of district heating per year – an important energy generation plant in the heart of the Bergisch city of Solingen. A total of around 60 employees work in administration, production, maintenance and control.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for waste control and compliance with legal requirements at the waste-to-energy plant and are the person responsible for hazardous goods.
- You will also monitor and coordinate waste deliveries and carry out declaration and quality checks.
- You will ensure the safe removal of disruptive flows, document processes and take care of reporting.
- You will take an analytical view of waste qualities, handle the processing of waste management certificates and deputize for the head of the hazardous waste collection point.
Your qualifications
- You have completed training as a recycling and waste management specialist or supply and disposal specialist or equivalent training in the aforementioned field of work (e.g. chemical laboratory technician).
- Furthermore, you are willing to acquire a class C driving license if you do not already have one.
- You always communicate in a friendly and confident manner and enjoy working in a team.
