The Lower Saxony Climate Protection and Energy Agency GmbH (KEAN) is an agency of the State of Lower Saxony and is tasked with further advancing climate protection and the energy transition in Lower Saxony.
The project “Accelerating the Expansion of Renewable Energy in Municipalities” (BEEKOMM), carried out in collaboration with seven other state energy agencies, aims to empower municipalities to build acceptance for energy transition projects and constructively address potential resistance, thereby accelerating the implementation of these projects.
A team of experts who competently and passionately develop solutions related to climate protection, energy efficiency, energy conservation, and renewable energy.
A driving force and networker for all relevant climate protection stakeholders in Lower Saxony, including municipalities, businesses, associations, agencies, politicians, and community groups.

A dedicated individual to support the BEEKOMM project, who will take on the following tasks:
Engaging with municipalities and regional stakeholders
Supporting municipalities in planning and organizing events to promote public acceptance
Advising municipalities on energy transition projects, particularly with regard to increasing public acceptance
Conducting environmental analyses regarding the expansion of wind energy and ground-mounted photovoltaic systems
Developing recommendations for action and coordinating with municipal stakeholders
Participating in reporting, strategic development, and public relations for the BEEKOMM project
Organizing and facilitating informational and training events
Networking and professional exchange within the nationwide collaborative project
Participating in accompanying press and public relations activities for the project

You offer

A completed college degree, e.g., in geography, communication, environmental sciences, urban planning, engineering, public administration, or a comparable field
Strong communication skills and the ability to present convincingly to diverse audiences, as well as the ability to explain complex topics in an understandable way
Interest in renewable energy and a willingness to familiarize yourself with planning, permitting, and public participation processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong willingness to travel on business within Lower Saxony (Class B driver’s license, as well as use of a personal car, car-sharing, or a company vehicle at the Hildesheim location)
Willingness to work flexible hours (occasional evening or weekend shifts)
Experience in local government administration,
Knowledge of renewable energy,
Experience with local planning and public participation processes,
Initial experience in the political, planning, and substantive implementation of renewable energy projects.
