Specialist (m/f/d) residual material treatment and waste conditioning
EWN GmbH is a company of the EWN Group. It is responsible for the dismantling of decommissioned nuclear facilities and for the reliable disposal of the resulting residual materials and radioactive waste.
Your tasks
- We are looking for a committed specialist with a technical background for the treatment and conditioning of radioactive residues/waste for our conditioning department.
- Independent preparation and execution of conditioning, decontamination, dismantling and sorting work as well as other related work up to the production of waste packages ready for release or final disposal
- Handling containers and hazardous substances
- Work-related documentation and verification (e.g. protocols in the residual material and waste flow)
- Preparing and carrying out product checks on waste products in the presence of experts
- Carrying out testing, maintenance and servicing work on systems and machines in the area of responsibility
- Compliance with safety, quality and radiation protection regulations
Your qualifications
- Completed technical vocational training (at least 3 years)
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience in the treatment and conditioning of radioactive residues and waste
- Ideally professional experience in nuclear facilities
- Willingness for further and advanced training
- Forklift license, crane license and “load slinging” qualification desirable
- Ability to work in a team, reliability and a structured and independent way of working
