We are currently recruiting for the position of Strategic Purchaser IT (m/f/d) in our Purchasing department in Cologne.

• Tasks
• You will develop and implement sustainable IT procurement category strategies for RheinEnergie and its subsidiaries; in particular with a focus on managed services, SaaS and cloud solutions
• You will also plan and manage all IT procurement activities – in close coordination with the respective specialist departments
• You will advise IT, including divisional management, on commercial issues relating to IT products and services
• You will also be responsible for supplier management: you will select suitable IT service providers, actively manage them and take responsibility for supplier relationship management
• You will conduct complex contract negotiations independently – including SLAs, KPIs and exit strategies and be responsible for tenders in order to achieve optimal economic results
• You will also monitor market and technology trends to identify optimization potential and introduce innovations into the procurement process
• Together with IT, Legal, Data Protection and Information Security, you will ensure that regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, ISO27001) are met

• Profile
• You have completed a Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics or a comparable qualification
• You also have 3-5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally with a focus on IT topics such as managed services, cloud or SaaS
• You have solid knowledge of national and international contract law – in particular SLAs, KPIs and exit strategies
• Communication and negotiation skills : You conduct complex contract negotiations at management level and communicate clearly
• Empathy : You are able to implement decisions and strategies even in difficult situations
• Ability to deal with conflict : You handle conflicts of interest professionally and find solution-oriented solutions
• Analytical and strategic thinking: You analyze complex issues in a structured way and plan long-term, future-oriented purchasing strategies
• Personal responsibility: Independent and proactive work is a matter of course for you
• Ability to work in a team : You are comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams (IT, legal, data protection)
• Knowledge of public procurement law, especially EU tenders, is an advantage
• At best, you have experience in supplier management and risk assessment
• Project management skills, especially in relation to IT projects, are desirable
