Strategic Energy Market Analyst (m/f/d)

Your tasks
- To strengthen our Energy Sales & Markets team, we are looking for a Strategic Energy Market Analyst (m/f/d) with a focus on the strategic orientation and market analysis of battery marketing, hydrogen purchase agreements and power purchase agreements (e.g. HPAs or PPAs). In this role, you will play a key role in shaping how our contracts are placed in line with the market, economically attractive and strategically optimal. As part of our newly established Business & Market Intelligence team, you will play a central role in the development of our route-to-market strategies. You will analyze market conditions, identify opportunities and risks at an early stage and support our originators and structurers with in-depth market insights.
- Analyze market conditions, in particular PPA offers, price structures and contract terms of competitors
- Develops and optimizes our PPA marketing strategies and route-to-market approaches
- Support the positioning of our PPAs in the market with sound strategic recommendations
- Continuously monitor the market to identify trends, opportunities and risks at an early stage
- Work closely with the teams from finance and sales, project development and other relevant departments to align our PPA and route-to-market structures with the company’s objectives
- Co-develop pricing strategies and create economic analyses and valuation models
- Gather information on customer needs and market requirements to make our PPA and route-to-market structures even more attractive
Your qualifications
- Has at least 5 years of professional experience in the energy industry, ideally with a focus on flexibility marketing, PPAs or hydrogen marketing.
- Has a very good understanding of renewable energy markets, PPA structuring and marketing strategies
- Have strong analytical and strategic skills and an interdisciplinary way of working
- Have in-depth knowledge of energy contracts, revenue models and market mechanisms in the electricity sector
- Have very good communication skills in German and English – both written and verbal
