Support for the technical management of urban drainage (m/f/d)
Stadtentwässerung Horb a. N. is an in-house operation of the district town of Horb a. N. and is part of the Energy, Climate Protection and Utilities department. As a municipal service company, it is responsible for wastewater drainage and wastewater treatment and operates the Horb central sewage treatment plant as well as 15 stormwater overflow basins and 12 pumping stations.
Your tasks
- Project management: You will support the technical management in new construction and maintenance measures for wastewater structures and infrastructure (e.g. sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, rainwater retention basins, sewer network) across all HOAI service phases – also in connection with the
- Client function: You will provide technical and financial support for new construction and maintenance measures for services awarded to engineering and planning offices.
- Operation: You ensure compliance with the relevant standards and technical guidelines. You will plan maintenance measures and advise the wastewater treatment plant management with sewer operations on ongoing tasks.
- Automation and control: You will support engineering offices in the development of concepts for energy optimization, maintenance and modernization of existing systems, electrical, measurement and control technology (MSR) as well as telecontrol systems for monitoring the sewer network.
- Procurement: You will prepare legally compliant invitations to tender in accordance with VOB/VgV and accompany the award procedures in coordination with the Central Procurement Office. You will prepare the basis for decision-making (profitability analyses and project documentation).
- Plant operation: You will support the operating staff in the event of complex faults and develop strategies for energy efficiency and operational safety.
- Data management: You will take on sub-projects in the area of the sewer database, sewer management and indirect discharger register.
- Advice on building applications: You will support the processing department in dealing with property drainage inquiries.
- Special-purpose associations: You will support the management in taking stock and developing concepts for plant planning (sewage treatment plant), also in cooperation with the special-purpose associations.
Your qualifications
- A degree in civil engineering (m/f/d) specializing in civil engineering / urban water management or electrical engineering, energy technology or automation technology (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge in the areas of planning, construction, operation and rehabilitation of sewer systems and wastewater treatment plants
- Knowledge of public procurement law (HOAI, VOB) and GIS applications (e.g. Barthauer)
- A high degree of commitment, initiative, dedication and communication skills
- Cross-divisional entrepreneurial thinking, ability to work in a team and assertiveness
- Several years of professional experience is desirable
- The position is also suitable for career starters (m/f/d), as a structured induction is guaranteed
