As a distribution grid operator in the regions of Heinsberg, Mönchengladbach, Viersen and parts of the Rhine district of Neuss, NEW Netz GmbH plays a key role in making the energy transition a success. We are responsible for the operation, planning, maintenance and expansion of the local and regional electricity, natural gas and drinking water distribution networks as well as the operation of metering points. In our grid control center, we control 27 substations and more than 4,500 local grid and customer stations in the medium-voltage grid. At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a:n

• The implementation, control and instruction of switching operations in the medium-voltage grids with the help of the control system are an essential part of your work
• You will take renewable energies into account in circuit planning and grid operation (Redispatch 2.0)
• You initiate the necessary measures when operational, warning and fault messages are received from the monitored operating facilities
• You issue access authorizations in compliance with occupational safety regulations
• You alert our on-call personnel in the event of faults in the medium-voltage grid
• You support the fault management team in the event of faults in the medium-voltage grid
• You take customer calls
• You will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling the waterworks

• You have successfully completed training as a technician or master craftsman in the field of electrical engineering
• You have several years of professional experience in the power supply sector
• Willingness to work permanent rotating shifts (including weekends)
• You have the ability to maintain an overview of the situation even in stressful fault situations
• You are confident and adept at using common Office applications (365)
• A high degree of action orientation, conscientiousness and customer orientation, in particular a confident and friendly approach to customers and employees round off your profile
• You are in possession of a valid class B driving license
