About us
The AGR Group sees itself as a guarantor of waste disposal security, energy efficiency and climate protection in the region within the framework of public services. With a total of six business areas, we cover a broad spectrum of waste disposal services. The thermal treatment of waste in the waste-to-energy plant is an important business area. Our subsidiary, AGR Betriebsführung GmbH, operates our RZR Herten waste-to-energy plant. The plant consists of four incineration lines for commercial and municipal waste as well as two incineration lines for hazardous waste. The incineration of non-fossil fuels releases energy, which we use to generate process steam, district heating, electricity and, in the near future, green hydrogen.
