Technical Customer Service Representative (m/f/d) for the Integration of Power Generation Systems – International
Here at energy & meteo systems, together with our partner companies emsys VPP and emsys grid services, we do our very best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energy into power grids and markets. In addition to wind and solar output forecasts, these include virtual power plants for controlling decentralized energy systems, as well as a platform concept for proactive grid planning.
Your Responsibilities
- As a technical account manager for international markets, you will support technicians (our customers’ service providers) and marketers (electricity traders) in connecting energy systems to our control center.
- You’ll serve as the central point of contact for technical experts and marketers and coordinate between the various stakeholders.
- From the office, you’ll advise clients via phone or video call on the best technology to use and coordinate the details of the connections.
- You’ll regularly communicate with our customers, provide updates on the project status, discuss the next steps, and oversee the integration of the systems into our control center.
- Even in the event of a malfunction, you will competently mediate between all parties involved, initiate fault analysis, and oversee the resolution of the issue.
Your Qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering or the natural sciences—preferably in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, business informatics, or a related field—or have completed technical training, preferably as an electronics technician specializing in energy and building technology or as an IT specialist.
- Alternatively, we’re also open to candidates changing career paths, such as those with a background in industrial business administration or wholesale and foreign trade management.
- Experience as a sales engineer, customer service representative, or in a similar role in customer service or technical support would be ideal.
- Knowledge of communication standards—industrial protocols (Modbus TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA)—as well as an understanding of how VPN technologies and networks work is desirable.
- You have a good command of German and are fluent in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages—especially French—is a plus.
- Process management is your thing: You’re well-organized, value teamwork, and work with others to further develop processes through strong analytical skills.
- You are already familiar with the energy market, renewable energy, and power grids, or you are open to learning about these topics.
