Technical trainee program (m/f/d) – focus on engineering / technology
Become part of the future of energy – at Rhein-Sieg Netz GmbH, the distribution network operator from Siegburg for the Rhein-Sieg region! From strategy to planning: this is where it all begins. The Planning organizational unit is responsible for all key requirements for our distribution grids in the fields of electricity, gas, water and heat – as well as future topics such as hydrogen and other green gases. With four different departments and around 40 colleagues, the organizational unit takes care of all planning-related tasks such as grid strategy, asset management, budgeting, quality assurance, implementation planning, house connection management, GIS documentation, real estate and building management for our supply grids and all buildings.
Your tasks
- Then our practice-oriented technical trainee program is just the right start for you. You will be actively involved in day-to-day business right from the start, gain valuable experience in various technical areas and prepare yourself specifically for your future role in the company.
- You will receive a structured and practical introduction to our technical department at Rhein-Sieg Netz GmbH.
- In the first 6 months, you will get to know various technical departments (e.g. planning, grid operations, regulation management, operational purchasing or contract management – depending on your profile and interests).
- You will then deepen your knowledge in a 6-month qualification phase in your preferred technical area.
- Right from the start, you will be actively involved in day-to-day business and take on real responsibility at an early stage.
- You will be accompanied by a permanent mentor (m/f/d) and receive regular feedback for your personal development.
- Together we will develop a clear perspective for your specific target position – e.g. as a civil engineer (m/f/d), operations manager (m/f/d) or in a comparable technical function.
Your qualifications
- You have a degree in engineering or a comparable qualification (master craftsman/technician), ideally with a focus on electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or supply engineering (gas/water).
- Ideally, you have initial practical experience in a technical environment, e.g. through practical phases, projects or professional experience.
- You are interested in technical procedures, processes and their further development.
- You are willing to get to know different technical areas and take on responsibility.
- You have a strong hands-on mentality, combine this with logical thinking and take a practical approach to technical tasks.
- You work independently and in a structured manner and want to make a long-term contribution.
- The aim of the program is to prepare you specifically for your position – with clear prospects of being taken on after successful completion.
