Technician (m/f/d) Technical Documentation
EWN GmbH is a company of the EWN Group. It is responsible for the dismantling of decommissioned nuclear facilities and the reliable disposal of the resulting residual materials and radioactive waste.
Our Documentation department ensures that the final disposal process is compliant, quality-assured and traceable. We are responsible for the radiological declaration of waste, coordinate complex coordination processes and ensure reliable documentation for authorities and experts.
Your tasks
- Preparation, review and quality assurance of repository documentation for waste products and waste packages in accordance with repository requirements
- Preparation of technical documentation for obtaining final disposal capability (e.g. reports, evaluations regarding the internal residual material tracking system, operating documentation)
- Checking conditioning documents and associated documents for completeness and plausibility (initiating necessary adjustments)
- Processing official inquiries and requirements in close coordination with internal and external interfaces
- Carrying out radiological activity determinations using specialized software
- Preparation of activity calculations for transportation and interim storage processes
- Analysis and optimization of existing documentation and processes
- Post-qualification of old waste, including checking existing documents and preparing missing documentation
- Participation in process qualifications and technical coordination processes
Your qualifications
- Completed training as a technician (m/f/d), ideally in the fields of mechanical engineering, chemistry, process engineering, environmental engineering or comparable disciplines
- Knowledge of the documentation and declaration of radioactive waste is an advantage
- Experience in dealing with regulatory requirements (e.g. AtG, StrlSchV, repository conditions) and official interfaces
- Confident handling of databases and technical documentation systems
- Analytical thinking as well as a structured and quality-oriented way of working
- Ability to present complex issues in an understandable way and to represent them across departments
- Strong communication skills and a confident manner in technical discussions
- Initiative and willingness to take on responsibility and actively develop processes further
