We are looking for dedicated reinforcement for our System Management High Voltage team at the Arnsberg site at the earliest possible date.
As a result of the energy transition, energy generation is increasingly shifting from central power plants in the transmission grid to renewable decentralized feeders in the distribution grids. As a distribution grid operator for the voltage levels 400 V to 110 kV, we at Westnetz face the challenge of managing these complex feed-in and load situations safely. To this end, we develop centralized and decentralized control systems to optimize local electricity grids and cross-sector technologies such as renewable power generation, gas and heating grid optimization, battery use and eMobility. The system management of Westnetz, with around 20 employees working in shifts in the Arnsberg switching management team, is therefore looking for dedicated reinforcement for these challenging tasks as soon as possible.
That's what you stand up for:
- You will independently monitor and manage complex high-voltage grids
- You will be responsible for coordinating all measures in the event of a fault
- You will make decisions independently and take over the dispatching of fault clearance in the assigned 110 kV grid in cooperation with neighboring departments
- You will be involved in fault analysis and the creation of activation programs for maintenance and construction work
- You will be involved in network planning and special tasks
What you bring to the table:
- You have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering
- You have already gained some relevant practical experience through internships, your thesis or projects
- You are open to new ideas, question the status quo and develop ideas independently
- You enjoy helping to shape the digital future and ideally have knowledge of network management and network calculation systems
- You already usefeedback as a learning opportunity and have initial ideas for your personal development
- You win others over with your business fluent communication in German and recognize your contribution to successful teamwork
- You take occupational health and safety into account in your actions and address critical situations openly
- After your trainee program, you agree to work shifts (2 shifts with early and late shifts from Mon-Fri with possible substitution of night and weekend shifts or 3 shifts with early/late and night shifts from Mon-Sun)
