Trainee (f/m/d) Energy and climate protection – focus: gas phase-out and reduction of methane emissions

Your tasks
- Supporting our campaign with national and European partners to phase out fossil gas and reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas industry
- Participating in the practical monitoring of the implementation of the EU Methane Regulation and its new complaint mechanism and supporting the preparation of strategic complaints
- Collaborating with our partners in the planning and implementation of measurements of methane emissions from the oil and gas industry
- Preparation of briefings, letters and materials for public relations work on the topic of methane and gas phase-out
- Preparing positions to represent our interests vis-à-vis EU institutions, the federal government and state politicians and participating in external events, committees and network meetings
- Constantly developing your specialist knowledge and conducting research and analyses with a scientific approach
Your qualifications
- Completed (technical) university degree or comparable degree in a relevant subject area
- Interest in the field of energy and climate protection, in particular the role of the oil and gas industry
- Ability to think and work in an interdisciplinary team and with European and international partners
- Initiative, ability to think politically and strategically, enjoy scientifically sound work, high degree of independence, motivation and very good teamwork skills
- Very good command of English and sound IT skills
