The dena (German Energy Agency) is a center of expertise for the practical implementation of the energy transition and climate protection. It addresses the challenges of a climate-neutral society and supports the federal government in achieving its energy and climate policy goals. Since its founding in 2000, the agency has been developing solutions, implementing them in practice, and bringing together partners from politics, business, academia, and all sectors of society—both nationally and internationally. Dena is a project company and a publicly owned enterprise under federal ownership. Dena’s shareholders are the German federal government and Dena itself.
